The Church of England chapel, in Gothic Revival style, is the only survivor of three original chapels. Other features of the cemetery include an axial drive with further paths and two gate lodges. The Nonconformist and Roman Catholic chapels no longer (2002) remain. Tonge Cemetery remains (2002) in use and is in the ownership of Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, excepting only the west entrance lodge which is in private ownership.[Parks & Gardens.org.]
